The Journal of Evidence-Based Medical Research (JEBMR) is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal committed to advancing healthcare through the dissemination of high-quality, evidence-based research. The journal serves as a platform for clinical practitioners, researchers, policymakers and healthcare educators, and aims to bridge the gap between scientific evidence and clinical decision-making.

Focus and Scope
JEBMR publishes original research articles, systematic reviews, meta-analyses, case reports, short communications and commentary across a wide range of medical disciplines. The journal prioritises studies with strong methodological rigour, clinical relevance and applicability beyond a single setting. It particularly encourages interdisciplinary submissions that advance evidence-based practice in clinical medicine, public health, healthcare policy and health systems research.

Open Access
JEBMR is a fully open-access journal. All published content is freely available to readers worldwide, with no subscription, registration or payment barrier. Authors retain copyright in their work, and articles are published under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International licence, permitting unrestricted use, distribution and reproduction in any medium provided the original work is properly cited.

Publication Ethics
JEBMR follows the Core Practices of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and the Recommendations of the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE). The journal publishes its full set of editorial policies, covering research ethics and informed consent, authorship, competing interests, plagiarism screening, corrections and retractions, data availability, and the use of generative artificial intelligence.

Editorial Independence
Editorial decisions are made solely by the journal's editors on the basis of scholarly merit. The publisher has no role in the evaluation, acceptance or rejection of individual manuscripts. JEBMR receives no commercial sponsorship and carries no advertising. See Editorial Independence and Advertising.
Archiving and Digital Preservation
JEBMR preserves its content through the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN), a distributed dark archive operated by the Public Knowledge Project for journals published using Open Journal Systems. Deposited content remains recoverable in the event that the journal ceases operation.
In addition, all article metadata and DOIs are registered with Crossref, ensuring persistent identification and resolution independently of this website.
Indexing and Discoverability
Every article published in JEBMR is assigned a Crossref DOI, and its full metadata, including complete reference lists, is deposited with Crossref. Journal content is exposed via an OAI-PMH interface, permitting harvesting by aggregators and discovery services.
History
JEBMR was established to support the global movement toward evidence-based clinical practice and published its inaugural issue in 2025. The journal is guided by an editorial board of clinicians, researchers and scholars working across several countries. Current members are listed on the Editorial Team page.
